One night, Hutch (Bob Odenkirk)'s suburban home is broken into by two thieves. To avoid violence, Hutch does not fight back for himself or his family. His son Blake (Gage Munroe) is disappointed in him, and his wife Becca (Connie Nielsen) seems to be more alienated from him. This incident triggers Hutch's long-suppressed emotions and instincts, prompting him to embark on a brutal path that will reveal his dark secrets and deadly abilities.
