"Family Guy" is a nonsensical drama cartoon. The storyline is about the Griffin family living in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island. It uses a lot of flashbacks (different shots are interspersed with the main storyline). The show was canceled by Fox twice in 2000 and 2002, but considering the impressive sales of DVDs and the high ratings of the reruns on Cartoon Network's AdultSwim, Fox decided to resume broadcasting in 2005. The once canceled "Family Guy" is the first cartoon to be re-released due to DVD sales. It is also the only cartoon to be re-run twice for this reason.
