During the Iraq War, Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn), a 19-year-old technical soldier from Texas, became a household name because of a video shot by accident. It was a small but fierce encounter. During the battle, the squad leader of Class B (Vin Diesel) where Lynn was was ambushed and hijacked by local militants, and Lynn took risks to rescue the squad leader. The release of the video made him a hero admired by the American people, but few people understood what he and his comrades had experienced. In order to bury the squad leader, Class B was given a short vacation, so they were invited to participate in a football game held in Texas. Lynn's sister felt guilty about an incident, and she hoped that her brother could take this opportunity to return to ordinary life. The surrounding agents, fans, big bosses, and ordinary people have all kinds of taken-for-granted understandings of war, patriotism, and soldiers. The celebration on the court opened grandly, but the hearts of Lynn and his comrades became heavier and more anxious... This film is based on the novel of the same name by writer Ben Fountain.
