The Qin State, which had once been on the verge of extinction, rose rapidly under Shang Yang's reforms and became the most important force in the northwest wilderness. Under the pressure of conservative forces, the young King Huiwen of Qin, Ying Si (played by Fu Dalong), was forced to dismember Shang Yang, but he also suppressed the conservative faction with a negative attitude.
