There are up to 5 million surveillance cameras in Japan. In order to use these cameras and conduct criminal investigations using a state-of-the-art surveillance system, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department has set up a new special force called KSBC (Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department Investigation Analysis Center). As a special investigator of KSBC, he challenges difficult cases shrouded in mystery. That was Kyosuke Fushimi, who was famous for his skillful detective work at the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department’s Investigation Division. He recruited these civilian investigators for SSBC: a former professor of criminal psychology at a university who is an expert in character profiles, a single mother who was a member of the Self-Defense Forces, a young genius hacker, and so on. Each member has his or her own personality. At first glance, KSBC seems like an ideal and powerful team. But everyone here has a dark past, and they are all “people who have committed crimes.”
