Introduction

Born into a wealthy family, Gao Tianbao (Wang Zulan), a talented chef, was born with a very sensitive sense of smell and taste. He has tasted all kinds of delicacies and has high requirements for ingredients. However, his family fell into decline and he ran a small shop specializing in making salted fish buns in the urban streets of Beijing to make a living. Mi Xiaoyu (He Yanshi), the owner of a noodle shop next to the shop, had to disguise herself as a man in order to find her father, the chef god "Master Wuwei". She and Tianbao are a pair of happy enemies. Ji Muxue (Wan Qiwen), a street performer, hates evil and is gentle but strong. In his early years, Kangxi had eaten a snack called salted fish buns and never forgot it. The fourth prince Yinzhen (Huang Zhixian) went out of the palace incognito to look for it secretly. He met Muxue, a street performer, and fell in love with her at first sight. Yinzhen finally found Tianbao's secret salted fish buns, and Yinzhen was even more fond of Tianbao's superior cooking skills and serious attitude. The small salted fish buns made Tianbao highly appreciated by Emperor Kangxi. After many twists and turns, Tianbao was recommended to the Imperial Tea and Food Room in the Forbidden City and became an imperial chef. At the same time, the "Eight Kings Party" headed by the Eighth Prince Yinsi (played by Zhang Jicong) was willing to form cliques for personal gain, and the palace was in turmoil. However, serving the emperor is like serving a tiger. Tianbao, who is devoted to studying food, is "slaved by food" and is in danger in the open and covert palace struggles.
