"Charmed" is a reboot of the hit WB series of the same name. The new version is written by Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin of "Jane the Virgin". The background will be in the modern timeline, telling the story of three sisters Macy, Mel and Madison who live in a university town and find out that they are witches. Madeleine Mantock plays Macy, a pragmatic, motivated and talented geneticist, but when she finds out that the supernatural is real, it opens her eyes and gives her telekinesis. Melonie Diaz plays Mel, a passionate and outspoken activist who has lost her direction due to her mother's death and has the ability to stop time. Sarah Jeffery plays the youngest college freshman Madison, who believes that witchcraft will affect her joining the fraternity and has the ability to read minds. Rupert Evans plays the handsome and flamboyant professor Harry, who is also the "Whitelighter" of the three witch sisters. In the mother show, "Whitelighter" is a guardian angel-like role responsible for guiding witches. Ser'Darius Blain plays Galvin, an ideal boyfriend, mature and humorous. He moves to a new place for his girlfriend Macy's ideal. He is a film producer himself, but he has not found a good opportunity despite his ambitions. Charlie Gillespie plays Brian, Madison's high school boyfriend, but he still likes Madison; Ellen Tamaki plays Nico, a detective at the Hilltowne Police Station, whose relationship with one of the three witches will affect the investigation of the case. The original series was broadcast on WB for eight seasons, starring Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan (replacing Shannen Doherty who left in the third season). In the past, there have been similar series such as "Eastwick" and "Witches Of East End", but they are not successful.
