Ye Guhong (played by Miriam Yeung) is cheerful and optimistic by nature. Lai Liaobu (played by Tony Leung), a famous geomancer in the city, has been taught by his ancestors since childhood not to associate with people with the surname Ye. In order to get his advice, Ye Guhong tries her best to get close to Liaobu, and the fate of the two begins from then on. Liaobu calculates that there has always been a master disturbing Guhong's life. That person is Lai Liaobu's mortal enemy Duan Xie (played by Zheng Zhongji).
