Girl Giovanna (Tess Amorim) and boy Leo (Ghilherme Lobo) are best friends. Although Leo is blind, he has always been eager to be independent and does not like too much protection from his parents. The new transfer student Gabriel (Fabio Audi) accidentally broke into Leo's world and changed Leo and Giovanna's habits of getting along. Leo is worried about falling in love with Gabriel, Giovanna is sad about Leo's estrangement, and Gabriel's ignorant response makes the world of boys and girls more complicated... "Love, Simple" is a feature film debut by Brazilian director Daniel Ribeiro based on his 2010 short film "Love, Holding Hands" and shot by the original team. "Love, Holding Hands" has won the best short film award at 11 film festivals. "Love, Simple" still tells the story of love that transcends vision in holding hands, but compared with the short film, the focus of the story has shifted from sexual awakening to the independent growth of the protagonist. Independence is the core of the film, including his free will to choose who to love. "Love, Simple" won the FIPRESCI Award in the Panorama section of the 64th Berlin Film Festival, as well as the Teddy Bear Award, the highest honor for gay films.
