The ICAC received a report and decided to launch an investigation. In the second episode, the first case that Assistant Investigation Officer Ma Jiayi was responsible for investigating after training was the case of a watch group bribing a tour guide. The team of investigators encountered various difficulties in collecting evidence. After some efforts, they finally succeeded in bringing the suspects to court for trial. In the third episode, businessman Lin Hao bribed Cao Jinghong, a senior executive of the bank's loan department. The investigation process was quite time-consuming. After a round of hard work, the ICAC arrested two people on the spot. But on the day of the trial, the main culprit Lin Hao actually jumped bail and absconded... In the fourth episode, the chairman of a tobacco company accepted a bribe from a cigarette smuggler. Because it was difficult to obtain evidence, Chief Investigation Officer Roger decided to send an undercover investigation and went to the lawless Daban Island to obtain evidence. Character Analysis Lee Chin-keung (CK) - Assistant Director of the Enforcement Department (played by Cheung Kwok-keung) is a shrewd and decisive person who leads his subordinates to repeatedly solve major cases. His words always make people realize something and ponder over them again and again. His mission is to lead the investigators in the play to find out the truth and maintain integrity and discipline. Madam Kwan - Chief Investigation Officer (played by Madam Kong) is shrewd in handling cases, pays attention to communication with subordinates, and is deeply respected by them. She has been single since her husband died in a car accident, and has devoted her time and energy to work. Kwan's mother has to live in a nursing home because of dementia. The heavy workload and taking care of his mother made him physically and mentally exhausted. He was later diagnosed with stomach cancer, but he faced it calmly, showing his strong fighting spirit and vitality. Gao Yongkang (Roger) - Chief Investigation Officer (played by Ma Guoming) A stable and strategic anti-corruption elite, he would personally take action when encountering major cases, and his subordinates learned a lot from him.
