This film is set against the backdrop of the "First Contact" between Earthlings and Vulcans, and focuses on the great enemy "Borg" in the TV series "Star Trek: The Next Generation". When the Enterprise was doing routine cruising in space, Captain Pickart received a secret message saying that the Borg had united forces from other star systems and were preparing to attack Earth. Since Captain Pickart had been captured and assimilated by the enemy, Starfleet did not trust him very much and therefore did not send him into battle. Despite the order, Pickart still participated in the battle, and then the Enterprise followed the Borg's time vortex back to the 21st century to stop the Borg's attempt to change the history of human alien development and conquer Earth.
