Far away from Istanbul in Anatolia, retired theater actor Eden (Haluk Bilginer) started a new life as a columnist. He pretended to care about religion and wrote religious articles day after day, immersed in the seemingly profound thinking world he created. Eden used his pension to run a hotel and had several properties for rent. In the process of contact with ordinary people, he looked more hypocritical and cold. His sister Nika (Demet Akbag) divorced early and often curled up in Eden's study to argue about writing, and even mocked and attacked each other. His wife Nihal (Melisa Sözen) is young and independent, and is keen on various public welfare undertakings. The old man and the young wife, who are rarely together and have different attitudes towards life, gradually drifted apart, and their relationship began to crack...
