The story of The Homesman takes place during the American pioneering period. Rogue Jones and a woman from a small border town escort three women with mental illnesses from Nebraska to Iowa. Along the way, they will experience many hardships in the harsh natural environment. The role of Rogue Jones should be played by Tommy Lee Jones, Hilary Swank is confirmed to play the woman from the border town, and Meryl Streep's role has not yet been determined.
