The story takes place in the late Southern Song Dynasty. Guo Jing (played by Zhang Zhilin) and Yang Kang (played by Luo Jialiang) are the last descendants of the Guo and Yang families respectively. Guo Jing grew up in the desert and studied martial arts under the guidance of a master. He is honest and upright, while Yang Kang was adopted by the Jin Wanyan Honglie (played by Wang Wei) and became the prince. One day, Guo Jing went south and met a smart woman named Huang Rong (played by Zhu Yin). As time went by, the two gradually fell in love and gradually came together. At the same time, Guo Jing was instructed by the northern beggar Hong Qigong (played by Liu Dan) and Zhou Botong (played by Lai Yaoxiang), and learned the long-lost Eighteen Dragon Palms and Nine Yin Manuals respectively. In an accident, Yang Kang learned that Wanyan Honglie was the murderer of his father.
