The title of "The Measure of a Man" is taken from Plato's famous saying: "The measure of a man is what he does with power." The plot tells the story of a middle-aged unemployed father who struggles to find a job. After various humiliating interviews and training courses, he finally finds a job as a supermarket security guard that he hates, but has supreme power to monitor customers and peers. But he is forced to catch the thieves who steal in the supermarket, and these people are all people who have no money like him... This is the third collaboration between Vincent Linden and director Stephen Busey. In addition to Vincent Linden, all other actors in the film are amateurs, which also makes the film show a different dramatic power from the past. It is hailed as Stephen Busey's best work to date.
