The flamboyant street hip-hop and the noble and elegant ballet can perfectly fit on the stage, just like the combination of Tyler (Channing Tatum) and Nora (Jenna Dewan). This is a miracle, or a fate. Tyler is a rebellious youth from the lower class of Baltimore, and Nora is an excellent ballet student studying at an aristocratic art school. The advanced dance competition that Nora is going to participate in requires a partner with superb dancing skills, and Tyler just happened to enter Nora's field of vision because he was punished to do community service at the art school. Tyler's casual street dance attracted Nora, and the repeated cooperation on the stage made these two children who are equally dedicated to art spark rhythmic sparks. Two originally parallel straight lines intersect in the glory of dance.
