This film is adapted from VC Andrew's controversial classic work. It tells a story about a family with complex relationships and twisted emotions. After the father's accidental death, the mother who thinks she is a vase takes the four brothers and sisters to the grandmother's mansion in an attempt to obtain the family property. However, the grandmother's ruthlessness makes the children unbearable and puzzled. They have to live in a narrow attic and live by their grandmother's face every day. However, as time goes by, they gradually discover the real reason for their grandmother's indifference and severity, and the twisted and complex emotional relationship of this family seems to be like a spell that entangles their throbbing hearts of youth.
