Jim Cummings wrote, directed and acted in this film, which was adapted from his own short film of the same name. It won the Grand Jury Prize for Feature Film at this year's South by Southwest Film Festival for its profound portrayal of the struggle and despair of the American middle class. Jim is a police officer. He is speaking at his mother's funeral. He is saddened not only by his mother's death, but also by the fact that he did not treat her well when she was alive. He is getting more and more grief-stricken and plays Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road" on his daughter's radio. Singing and dancing to his mother's favorite music still fails to soothe Jim's sorrow.
