Narcos: Mexico Season 2 continues the story of Miguel Ángel Feliz Gallardo, now the godfather of Mexico's largest drug cartel (the Guadalajara Cartel), as he struggles to maintain control of the various factions and grow his empire, reconciling the betrayals and sacrifices he faces on his way to godfatherhood. As friction between the cartel's different "squares" intensifies, Feliz's control of the situation weakens. Meanwhile, blood debts on the hands of the cartel (the death of DEA agent Kiki Camarena) and corrupt politicians cause a series of karma in Mexico. Operation Rheinda, led by staunch DEA agent Walter Breslin, doesn't always play by the book and targets Feliz Gallardo and his henchmen, further contributing to the cartel's instability and unrest.
