Julie Powell (Amy Adams), an employee of the Downtown Manhattan Development Company, who is frustrated with her work, decides to spend a year practicing all 524 dishes in the first cookbook "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child (Meryl Streep), the most popular TV chef in the United States, and writes a blog to record her daily progress. At the same time, the film parallels the process of Julia Child coming to Paris, France in 1948 with her husband Paul Child (Stanley Tucci), who works for the United States Information Agency, to live and learn cooking. After ten years of hard work, she published the more than 700-page "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". Julie Powell finally found herself in the process of imitating Julia Child, and as the number of blog views increased, even Julia herself learned of Julie's existence, but the result was beyond Julie's expectations.
