The film won the Silver Bear Award for Screenplay at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival. 17-year-old Nick (Tristan Halilaj) lives in the northern region of Albania. He is about to graduate from high school and is ready to get his diploma to open a small Internet cafe to make a living. His 15-year-old sister Ludina hopes to be admitted to university and live a dream life. But this ordinary family has become overwhelmed because of a dispute over land ownership. His father was prosecuted for murder and hid in the mountains. According to ancient customs, if a family kills someone, the victim's family can also kill a male relative of the murderer. Therefore, all men in the family are not allowed to leave the house. The burden of the whole family falls on Ludina's shoulders. She is forced to leave school to work to support her family. The new responsibility allows Ludina to gradually grow into a capable person who can stand on her own. Nick, however, has become depressed and restless because of his long-term "isolated" life. In the end, this negative emotion made him decide to use blood to settle the struggle between families - even if this decision would cost him his life, he would not hesitate...
