The night before the exhibition at the academy, the museum's tour guide Feiji (played by Wang Zirui) and security captain Haozi (played by Sun Hao) encountered a bandit who came to steal the academy's treasure, the painting "High Mountains and Flowing Water". In the battle between good and evil, they happened to encounter the illusion of a "lunar eclipse", which started a fantasy journey through the Ming Dynasty with constant time resets. During the arduous journey of breaking the reset, Feiji and Haozi were involved in the life-and-death dispute between Xu Wuqiang (played by Zhang Ge), a loyal and important official of the Ming Dynasty, and Liu Jin's eunuch party. They personally witnessed that turbulent history, and the two also had a deeper understanding of family and country feelings and brotherhood.
