The story takes place in Silicon Valley, the United States, where high-tech industries gather. Here, the most qualified people to succeed are often the ones who have the least way to deal with their "success and fame". The protagonist of this play, Richard (played by Thomas Middleditch), is such a person. The story revolves around four socially awkward but extremely smart computer programmers, including Richard, and Ehrlich (played by Todd Joseph Miller TJ Miller), a millionaire who made his fortune by relying on Internet sites in the early days. Richard and his friends live in Ehrlich's villa, which is known as an "incubator", for free, and research and develop potential technology projects on their own.
