The father of "Lone Ranger" Pete Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is an old pilot with outstanding military achievements. He is determined to become a hero like his father. Finally, the opportunity came. He and officer "Dumb Goose" Nick Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards) were sent to the Top Gun training base to receive the most rigorous flight training.
