The story takes place in the late Qing Dynasty. Ghost catcher Zhang Kewei (played by Chu Yuan) takes his apprentices Zhang Beiping (played by Qian Xiaohao) and Zhang Nanjing (played by Li Yaoxiang) to Hong Kong. Due to their livelihood, Beiping and Nanjing became policemen. Frequent zombies are plaguing the world. Zhang Beiping asks his master Zhang Kewei to return to the arena to eliminate harm for the people. Who knows that the black hand behind the zombies is Hong Kong's richest man Tu Wanfu (played by Jiang Yi). Can Zhang Kewei resist this powerful opponent with his own strength? Tu Wanfu's daughter Tu Tianli (played by Guan Baohui) is infatuated with Zhang Beiping, but Beiping likes the gentle and virtuous female ghost Piaoxue (played by Zheng Xiuwen).
