Taking this opportunity, Chihaya Ayase (played by Hirose Suzu) also completed a long-lost meeting with her childhood friend Wataya Arata (played by Makenyu). However, due to the death of his grandfather, who was his spiritual pillar, Wataya seemed to have lost the courage and goal to move forward and had long been away from the karuta competition.
