On the way, he met Huang Rong (played by Ariel Lin), the daughter of "East Evil" Huang Yaoshi (played by Anthony Wong), and they have been traveling together ever since. When Guo Jing and his party arrived in Jiangnan, they learned that Yang Kang had become the little prince of the Jin Dynasty after Yang Tiexin (played by Weng Jiaming), and the Jin Dynasty was recruiting talented people from all over the world to work for them in an attempt to unify the country. Guo Jing, who bears the brunt of the country's hatred and family's hatred, is helped and appreciated by many masters because of his pure heart. By chance, he is taught the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms by Hong Qigong (played by Liang Jiaren), the leader of the Beggars' Sect, and learns the Nine Yin Manual from the old naughty boy Zhou Botong (played by Li Yu).
