The story begins with King Vortigern of England in the 15th century. The kingdom wanted to build a tower, but failed. No matter how hard his soldiers worked during the day, the tower would become a ruin overnight at night. So King Vortigern sought a solution from his magician, who said that the blood of a child should be added to the lime used to build the tower, but the child's father must not be human. In order to find such a child, the king's messenger soon found Merlin and brought him to the king. Although Merlin was only 7 years old at the time, he accurately explained why the tower collapsed every day because it was built on a groundwater. He also predicted that if the groundwater was drained, two sleeping dragons would be seen in the two hollow boulders. Later, it was proved that Merlin was not wrong, so the king let Merlin go. Not only that, Merlin also gave Vortigern a more interesting prophecy as a friendship. The red dragon represents Wales, and the other white dragon represents Saxons. The two dragons were fighting each other, and Merlin predicted that the red dragon would eventually defeat the white dragon, and that the day would come when the Welsh would defeat the Saxons. In 1485, Henry VII, a Welsh royal, succeeded to the throne and was believed to have fulfilled Merlin's prophecy.
