Yamazaki Torao (Tomoya Nagase), a gangster who has long forgotten what a smile is, was unexpectedly amused when he was collecting debts for his gang Shinjuku Ryusei-kai. The one who amused him was the debtor - the rakugo (stand-up comedy) master Hayashiyatei Tobee (Toshiyuki Nishida). So Torao decided to worship Tobee as his teacher and use his debts to pay for his tuition. The gang member who wanders in the dark has a new identity "Hayashiyatei Tiger". Torao, who had never been exposed to rakugo, was initially troubled. He unexpectedly met Tani Ryuji (Junichi Okada), the second son of Tobee, a former rakugo genius. Ryuji, who is extremely talented, insisted on running the unpopular and weird clothing store "DragonSoda". The acquaintance of the two also affected each other invisibly. Torao also found his own rakugo, combining the things around him with traditional crosstalk to create a new rakugo. Each episode contains a short story, which is a classic handed down from generation to generation, and also records bits and pieces of reality, whether sad or happy.
