The film is adapted from a real event. The story takes place on a small island called Bastry in Norway, where many young prisoners are held. The youngest is only 11 years old and the oldest is only 18 years old. Every day, in this closed and depressing environment, the children are forced to do overload work, because only in this way can they get just enough food to fill their stomachs. Here, beating and scolding the prisoners is commonplace, and it is only because of a small mistake, and sometimes there is no reason. In such a bad environment, the prisoners are domesticated and no one thinks of resisting. Seventeen-year-old Erling (Benjamin Helstad) has just arrived at this devil's island, where he is serving his sentence. The cruel life on the island makes Erling desperate. When the oppression of the jailer breaks through the critical point and causes tragedy, it is Erling who leads his companions to launch a violent resistance. Just when Erling seized the dominance of the island, the 150-man army sent by the Norwegian government to the island was approaching rapidly.
