In order to support the Central Soviet Area in breaking the Kuomintang's military "encirclement and suppression" and economic blockade, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to establish a red transportation line from Shanghai to the Soviet Area via Hong Kong and Shantou. Zou Zuoren was the stationmaster of the Bogongao Station on the transportation line. Under the strict investigation and pursuit of the Kuomintang military secret agents headed by Cao Ruiying, several small stations were destroyed, but the traffic officers loyal to the party would rather die than surrender, and protected the party's secrets with their blood and lives. In the arduous task of escorting more than 100 delegates from all over the country to Ruijin to attend the Second Congress of the Chinese Soviet, Zou Zuoren and others sacrificed their own heroic deeds to ensure that all delegates were escorted to Ruijin unscathed, ensuring that the significant Second Congress of the Chinese Soviet was held as scheduled.
