The drama is a prequel to the classic novel Treasure Island. The story takes place "20 years before" the novel, when Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his "Walrus" were not yet famous. The drama will be filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, and is tentatively scheduled to be broadcast in 2014 (filling the gap after the end of the Spartacus trilogy), with the first season of 8 episodes. Flint is one of the most famous pirate characters in literary history and a representative of the golden age of pirates. He and some people established an anarchic community called "Pirate Paradise" on the island of New Providence, and fought with various hostile forces to maintain the existence of New Providence. In this haven for criminals, in addition to pirates from all over the world, there are all kinds of prostitutes, robbers, thieves and treasure hunters. Hannah New plays the beautiful, brave and confident tavern owner Eleanor, who is familiar with both black and white.
