Description:The editorial office of "The Guide to the World", located somewhere in Beijing, gathers six knowledge workers with different personalities. Among the elderly intellectuals: the editor-in-chief Lao Chen (played by Lu Qi) is conscientious and responsible in his work; Sister Niu (played by Tong Zhengwei) is quick-witted and hates evil; Lao Liu (played by Zhang Tong) is timid and afraid of things, reflecting the cowardly side of traditional intellectuals; the middle-aged intellectual Yu Deli (played by Hou Yaohua) is good at accepting new things, smart and smooth, with a bit of the habits of the market. As for the young faction, Li Dongbao (played by Ge You) has avant-garde ideas, is honest and kind, and always wants to be with his smart and beautiful female colleague Ge Ling (played by Lv Liping). But Ge Ling is arrogant and treats Dongbao, who looks plain, indifferently and vaguely.
