This season is starred by Chris Rock, and also stars Jack Huston, Ben Whishaw, Jason Schwartzman, Timothy Olyphant, Jesse Buckley, Salvatore Esposito, Andrew Bird, Jeremie Harris, etc. The main creator Noah Hawley returns, and the story focuses on the hostile black gangs and Italian gangs: In the 1950s, there were two major gangs in Kansas, one Italian and one African. The two sides who were always at odds reached a rare peace at some point. In order to maintain the relationship, the leaders of both gangs agreed to exchange their young sons. Rock played the boss of the African-American gang, Loy Cannon, who had to send his son to the enemy and raise the enemy's son. But then, the leader of the Italian Mafia went to the hospital for routine surgery, but died, so everything was in chaos. The theme of this season is described as "immigration, assimilation and what we will do for money", the intersection and conflict of two immigrant groups: Italians from Italy, and African Americans who fled the American South to escape Jim Crow laws. As two gangs, they fight for their own glimmer of the American dream.
