Introduction

Adapted from the great British Saxon epic "Beowulf", "Beowulf and the Monster Grendel" is a medieval adventure story about a Norwegian warrior Beowulf's bloody battle against the powerful and dangerous giant Grendel. It can be called a blood-stained legend. Masters from all walks of life flocked to occupy a place in this first important work in the history of British literature. Beowulf, the extremely respected King of Denmark who has been loyal to King Hrothgar from beginning to end, led a group of warriors across the ocean to save a village plundered by monsters. The monster Grendel is no longer a creature fabricated out of thin air by mythological forces, but a kind of human being with a huge body and a cavity of angry blood. He is driven by a strong desire for revenge because of unfair treatment, until a warrior Beowulf who has won in his own rights and is increasingly troubled by his exploits being lifted up to the altar appears. When it becomes clear that the king is more responsible for the giant's rampage than first seemed, Beowulf takes it upon himself to kill for the sake of Hrothgar's victims. As a warrior, Beowulf is not used to hesitation, but his relationship with the hypnotic witch Thelma adds to the chaos. Swinging his sword in the face of a powerful, bad monster is no longer a simple act. Set in a savage northern Europe, where the gods' rule gives way to one side - the invader from the south, the savior Beowulf subjugates both sides in this great dynastic change, his simple rules defiantly altering and destroying all. This is a tale of vengeance, loyalty, and mercy, all woven together to build toward a terrible and inevitable war. A tale woven with blood, beer, and sweat, Beowulf and the Monster of Grendel unmasks the myth of the star, leaving behind a naturally complex tale that will reverberate for centuries to come.
