Mashiro Takashi (voiced by Atsushi Abe) is a young man with great talent in painting. Although he is young, he has already won the recognition and appreciation of the minister. However, the death of his uncle who was engaged in the comics industry made him give up his dream of creating comics, closed his mind, and lived a bohemian life until his good friend Akito Takagi (voiced by Satoshi Hino) appeared in front of him. Akito's dream is to become a cartoonist, but he knows nothing about comics despite his unique literary creation. After learning about Takagi's past, he invited Takagi: "I write the script, you create, let's become cartoonists!" Although Takagi was reluctant in his heart, he had no choice but to hold Akito's handle that he had a crush on his classmate Azumi Miho (voiced by Saori Hayami). In this way, the two embarked on the Shura road to becoming cartoonists, and Takagi's love for comics was slowly rekindled.
