The play tells a legendary inspirational story of a woman who started from cultivating peonies and eventually saved the people and helped the world. After He Weifang, the daughter of a merchant, met Jiang Changyang, who was elegant in Chang'an, the two formed a combination of craftsmen and investors. With her superb skills in cultivating rare peonies and her extraordinary business acumen, He Weifang led a group of women with rough fates to run a flower shop together, overcoming obstacles and winning a place in the paranoia of women's weakness. As He Weifang and Jiang Changyang gradually got to know each other, she discovered that this infamous "No. 1 corrupt official in the world" was actually a sharp sword of the country with a heart for the world. After experiencing the suffering of the bottom and realizing the use of peonies, He Weifang decided to transform into a people-friendly industry. In the end, she experienced a life-and-death struggle and broke through herself. With her Tao Zhu technique and exquisite heart, she helped Jiang Changyang successfully quell the rebellion, and the lovers both retired from the world.
