If Bernard (Dylan Moran), the owner of Blake's Bookstore, is the most absurd shopkeeper in London, then Manny (Bill Bailey) is the most docile clerk in London. Manny endures Bernard's crazy behavior every day and lives a life without vacation and under pressure. Their friend, Fran (Tamsin Greig), the female owner of the gift shop next door who likes to collect sundries, often comes to visit. Fran puts the piano she bought on a whim in the bookstore to practice, and accidentally discovers Manny's musical talent when she is scolded by her tutor. On the other hand, Bernard falls in love with a female customer and wants to show off in front of her. The two people with their own thoughts are eyeing Manny, whose piano skills are improving by leaps and bounds. Poor Manny doesn't want to help them act anymore. He just wants to get a vacation and put aside everything in the bookstore to have a good rest. But Bernard and Fran refused to let him go, and he felt he was going crazy... This series has three seasons, and this is the second season.
