Onodera Risa (Aoi Miyazaki) had her groom run away from her wedding four years ago. Now she has calmed down and has been living with her parents. Her father Shunsaku (Yutaka Matsushige) used to be the director of the sales department of a pastry production company. He has been transferred to another department due to personnel changes, and the new director of the department is Shunsaku's former subordinate, Kotaro Hyodo (Eita Nagayama). Her mother Machiko (Keiko Matsuzaka) is a cheerful housewife who often goes to the flower arrangement class run by Kurahashi Kyoko (Maki Ichirō). Kurahashi Kyoko's ex-husband Murakami Yoichi (Naomasa Rokuhira) is Shunsaku's childhood friend and senior. He runs a tavern, and Shunsaku is a frequent visitor to his home. Four years ago, his father Shunsaku built a two-family villa in order to live with his daughter and son-in-law. However, because Risa was run away from her marriage, now only Risa, Shunsaku and Machiko, a family of three, live in the villa. One day, Risa said that she had been proposed to and wanted to bring a date back to Shunsaku and Machiko. Unexpectedly, the person she brought back was Kotaro Hyoto. His former subordinate has now become his boss and future son-in-law... How will the relationship between Risa and Kotaro develop?
