In that era full of war and witchcraft, Solomon Kane (James Purefoy) lost himself in endless greed and killing, and almost became a puppet of the devil. Solomon, who survived the disaster, returned to a monastery in his hometown of England. He wanted to live a life away from killing, and he embarked on the road home under the instructions of the priest. At this time, there was killing and looting everywhere. Solomon, who was on the road alone, was in danger. Fortunately, he was rescued by the Crusthorn family who were preparing to move their family to America. In the process of getting along with the Crusthorn family, Solomon felt the warmth and trust of his family. One morning, the Crusthorn family encountered a group of evil warriors. They killed Mr. Crusthorne and his two sons and took away Mr. Crusthorne's daughter Meredith (Rachel Hurd-Wood). Before dying, Crusthorne prayed for Solomon to rescue his daughter and told him that only by rescuing Meredith could his soul be saved. Solomon, who vowed never to kill, had to pick up the sword again in order to rescue Meredith and punish his own soul... This film is based on the 1928 novel of the same name by American writer Robert E. Howard.
