Although Toula (Nia Vardalos) was born and raised in the United States, she lives in a huge Greek world. The entire huge family, represented by the authoritative will of her father, insists that Greece is the spiritual power of the source of the world. Toula, who has witnessed the weird behavior of her family since childhood, has heard the most from her mother and neurotic grandmother: marry a Greek, give birth to a lot of Greek children, and feed her stomach until the last day of the world. Toula, who grew up to 30 years old, was sloppy and obese. She continued to listen to her father's nagging in the rain at night. However, when she walked into the family restaurant where she worked day after day, she decided to change her destiny! She went to study and went to the beauty salon to fix her appearance. When she exuded confidence, the destined prince charming Ian (John Corbett) appeared. The two fell in love at first sight and couldn't wait to organize their new family. For this huge Greek family, Ian is an outsider. The tediousness and struggle of the wedding have just begun, and different values have triggered a series of jokes.
