Sean (Emile Hirsch) and Ben (Max Minghella) are two software engineers from the United States. Because they have developed a new software, they go to Moscow to discuss business. At night, they go to the bar to have fun. They meet Natalie (Olivia Thirlby) and Ann (Rachael Taylor) who are traveling from the United States. The four of them flirt and have fun, but they encounter white light falling from the sky and a catastrophe on the earth. It turns out that aliens in the form of energy fields invade Moscow, and any life form can be destroyed at the moment of contact. The four young Americans hid in time and tried to escape from the devastated Red Square when night fell. They found that electricity could sense the existence of aliens, and found a geeky old man who set up an electromagnetic array at home. Everyone worked together to try to find all the survivors and use the knowledge of electromagnetism to fight back against the aliens...
