The film tells the story of a producer named Hao Xing (played by Qiu Ze) who has a dream of making a movie. He has been working with his old friend, director Wen Xi (played by Huang Diyang) for more than 10 years, but none of their works have been accepted. Suddenly one day, Wen Xi's script was chosen by their creditor, the underworld boss Long Ge (played by Long Shaohua), with the only condition that the eldest sister-in-law Chanel (played by Yao Yiti) play the heroine. The two agreed and celebrated with a party all night. When they woke up, they found that the heroine had died in the swimming pool... They didn't dare to let Long Ge know, so they decided to go all out and complete the film even if it meant using the corpse.
