The old generation of suona artist Jiao Sanye (played by Tao Zeru) is an old man who looks cold on the outside but warm on the inside. He looks serious and old-fashioned, but he is actually passionate. The film shows the sincere master-apprentice relationship, father-son relationship, and brotherly relationship between the new and old generations of suona artists in the era of social change and impetuous people. This film is adapted from Xiao Jianghong's novel of the same name.
