The story of "Red Faction: Origins" will follow the background and character settings of the game: 25 years have passed since Alec Mason led the Martian colony to regain freedom, and his wife was killed and his daughter Lyra was kidnapped for 12 years. Alec has been a broken hero since then. His only remaining son, Jake Mason, has now become an officer of the Red Faction Militia. When he discovered that his sister, who was kidnapped 12 years ago, is still alive, his world was overturned. Even though new enemies flocked to Mars, Jake still decided to find his sister, but he found that Lyra has now become a member of the hostile forces, a cold-blooded warrior who vowed to destroy the Red Faction.
